IDT Meeting - June 24, 2020

Agenda:


  • Introduction and Roles
  • Overview of project proposal (and introduction of project website)
  • Process overview - timeline, completed milestones, status of fieldwork
  • Next steps - public scoping initiation/Notice of Intent


Action Items/Outcomes:


  • Wildlife analysis - schedule focus group call with regional wildlife specialists/partners to identify approach to Bighorn Sheep analysis and plan for United States Fish & Wildlife Service process.
  • Retain contractor for cultural resource analysis. Forest heritage specialist to provide list of Region 4 approved cultural resources contractor; SE Group to coordinate and contract.
  • Identify main viewpoints of the project area for the scenery analysis.
  • Identify the potential scope of work and fieldwork needed for recreation analysis.

IDT Meeting - November 23, 2020

Agenda:


  • Introductions and meeting objectives
  • Public scoping comment review - discussion of all comments, identification of key issues driving the formulation of an alternative or modification to the Proposed Action
  • Potential alternatives to address key issues
  • Next steps


Action Items/Outcomes:


  • IDT members conduct a thorough review of public comments with a focus on those related to team members' resource area of expertise. Ensure comments are placed in correct categories.

IDT Meeting - December 11, 2020

Agenda:


  • Recap of 11/23/20 IDT meeting
  • Discussion of key issues that will drive alternatives to the Proposed Action
  • Brainstorm of draft range of alternatives to address key issues
  • Next steps


Action Items/Outcomes:


  • Develop draft range of alternatives for next IDT meeting
  • Develop draft issue statements and analysis indicators for each resource area
  • Revise project timeline

IDT Meeting - January 21, 2021

Agenda:


  • Introductions and meeting objectives
  • Discussion of range of alternatives
  • Initial review of issues and analysis indicators for each resource area
  • Next steps


Action Items/Outcomes


  • IDT members will work with contractor specialists to ensure issue statements and analysis indicators respond to issues raised during scoping. The issue statements and analysis indicators will be documented and signed by the Forest Supervisor and will be the scope of work for technical reports.
  • Contractor specialists will prepare draft technical reports for Forest Service IDT review. These will be ready for review in the spring. 


Forest Service Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update


The Forest Service is taking the risks presented by Covid-19 seriously and is following U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health guidance as we continue to offer services to the public. Visitors to our National Forests and Grasslands are urged to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. There are three official, government-wide sources of up-to-date information about the coronavirus: Coronavirus.gov, CDC.gov/coronavirus, and USA.gov/coronavirus.
